Secrets Between Us p.1

It was 5pm, on a Sunday night. Rose was just putting on her red cotton shirt to cover her pale skin, a vanilla soft color. She slipped on some black skinny jeans and black converse. She brushed her black wavy hair and put on a red and black stripes little bow on it and black eyeliner around her light brown eyes. She passed the Chop Stick over her pink fluffy lips that held a ring on her left side. She grabbed her cell phone, ipod and her wallet and hid them in her pockets and left her room. She got in her car and drove away to the Chili's she's working at. As soon as she got, some of the other employees said hi to her and a few said bye since their shift was over. She started to wait on tables and bring orders in. She was passing by the bar when she noticed someone sitting there alone. A guy about her age, maybe a bit older, but he seemed familiar. And he was. It was her neighbor. She has a crush on him for a while now, about a year or two, but who's counting? she always thought. They have talked, and they were friends back in the day, but he started to work and started college two years ago, he's older than her; she just has 18 and he's 20. And also…he got himself a girlfriend. Mainly that's why they didn't talk much now, mainly because she tried to avoid him.
"…Matt?"-She asked, unsecured.

He turned around and it was him, but not he's usual him. She's used to see this happy guy, with a bright smile all day, sure he has his problems because he has talked to her about it, but she has never seen him like this, with red, puffy eyes, red nose and specially with a drink in hand.
"W-what's wrong?"-She asked putting the menus on the counter.
"Hi, Rose…it's just that…fuck…"-He started, but ended putting his hands over his face. Rose sat beside him and rubbed his back with one hand.
"Tell me…you know you can"
"I know…it's Jessica…we were talking and she got mad because a friend tagged me in a picture with her and she quickly thought I was cheating on her…I think it's over this time…I explained it was nothing, but she just hung up…I wanted to calm down, walked and walked and end up here, saw the bar and thought…perfect"-He finished with a sip from he's glass. –"One more."

The bar tender heard and serve him another glass.
"Just…don't give up…give her until tomorrow so she can relax herself and you can talk to her, if I know Jess, she'll come around…she knows you're not like that…"-Rose tried to comfort him, even if it hurts her, she's her friend first.
"Thanks…if you don't mind, I'll stay here for a while…"-He told her, as he grabbed the other glass the bar tender gave him
"Sure, stay as long as you want."-Rose said and pet his back

She grabbed the menus and walked away, but before leaving the bar completely, the bar tender, Erick, called her. A middle age man who was like a father to the employees, specially the new ones like Rose. He was always joking with them and having fun.
"Who's the guy you were getting close with?"-he asked with a smirk and she sighed with a short laugh.
"He's my neighbor"
"Aja…just that? I know you."-He said pointing a finger at her.
"…I kind of have a crush on him…but he has a girlfriend, end of story"-She said to end the subject it fast
"Oh…I'm sorry"
"It's ok, I'll get over it, but I better go before I get yelled at…again"

She walked away as Erick laughed. The time passed at it was already closing time. Matt kept ordering drink after drink, even what Rose said helped, he wanted to forget what happened. He kept drinking until being drunk. Rose was about to leave when Erick caught her.
"You gotta take your friend home, he's drunk."
"What?! Why did you kept giving him drinks?!"
"I left for my break, Kevin was in charged and kept giving them to him"- he explained, putting on his jacket.
"Ugh, Kev, anyways, thanks, I'll take care of him."
"No prob, see you tomorrow"

Erick walked out and Rose went back to the bar. The other employees were cleaning and putting the chairs over the tables.
"First time I see someone getting drunk at Chili's"-She said as she got close to him.-"Matt, let's go"
"Heeeeey, Rose…where's everybody?!"-He asked resting from the counter
"Everybody left, let's go. I'm taking you home"-She grabbed him by the arm and got him up, but he was almost falling. –"Easy…"
"No! I wanna party, girl!"
"Shhh! We have to go"

Pulling him and trying to kept him quiet was a task she barely passed. When she got to her car, she sat him down on the passenger's seat and she got in the driver's seat. As she drove, he got his hand close to her face.
"Pretty girl…pretty Rose…"

He started to touch her face, so gently, she felt her heart stopping. But kept in mind he was just delusional. He kept caressing her and tangling his finger around the soft waves of her hair.
"Soft…"-He laughed a little, Rose smiled thinking he sounded cute.

She tried to keep her mind on the road, luckily the ride was short and she parked in front of his house to not disturb her parents and make the trip shorter. She got him out of the car a he wrapped his arms around her to have balance.
"Woops…almost fell"-He started to laugh.

She sighed and looked in his pockets and he giggled.
"If you want some, just say so, baby"
"Matt!"-She was surprised this was coming out of him, even if he was drunk

She got the keys out and walked, holding him, to the door. She opened it, entered and closed it behind them. The house was quiet, seems his parents were asleep. Only a lamp from the living room was on. Both walked, slowly and almost falling to his room and got in. Rose turned on the lights, got closer to his bed and let go of him, but he kept her tight, his head was lower to her, since she was shorter, making her nose and mouth get close to her ear.
"Stay, Rose…for tonight…stay with me…"
"N-No-" she got interrupted by him kissing her neck.-"No…"- she whispered softly and breathless.
